Credit card surcharge, how to apply after VAT, not before?

Hi folks

I have searched on this and have found numerous threads regarding surcharges, but none specifically answer my question.

I have Actinic 8 set up to apply a 1.5% surcharge on payments made by credit card. It works fine except that at the checkout the order of the totals goes:-

GOODS
SUBTOTAL
SURCHARGE
SHIPPING
VAT
TOTAL

The trouble is our financial director has told me that she charges the surcharge on the inclusive of VAT price so I need the surcharge to be applied as follows:-

GOODS
SUBTOTAL
SHIPPING
VAT
SURCHARGE
TOTAL

Is this possible?

Assuming the surcharge is VATable then it's the same thing. In fact your Finance directors way would be wrong as the VAT shown wouldn't include the VAT element of the surcharge.

If you want everything to show the values inc VAT and for the VAT element to be shown separately, then you'll need V9.
