    Auto Responder

    Hi,
I'm trying to get an Aweber auto responder to work with V9.0.2 and having some partial success but not there yet. The purpose is to give away a free digital download (i.e. PDF) via a popup window, this is available with Aweber, but the pop up option does not function yet, this could be an Actinic or Aweber problem but working with Aweber at moment. There "Inline" option where the sign up window appears fully on the page, partially works.

Obviously I could use the digital download option, using the shop but I understand from Actinic that it it is not possible to only ask for the Name and email address, which would mean collecting all the other personal details as well, which initially may inhibit potential contacts signing in for freebie.

SO question: Has anybody had any experience with 'building in' an auto responder (WISH LIST item?), either their own design or from Aweber or any of the others design houses?

    Hi Alan,

I'm afraid I don't have any idea about this, A guess would be that Aweber uses a forml, Actinic uses a form for the add to cart button, therefore you may have two forms open which is causing the problem. This is a guess through, if anyone has an experience in Aweber, then please feel free to comment to this thread.

      Hi All,

I have tried placing the Aweber Code (See Below) in the 'Fragment' which will appear on the Home Page. Aweber allows the window which contains the request for the subscribers name and address and their email address to either be entered “in line” i.e. within the text or as a “pop up” box. I have got it to work as "inline", but not yet as a pop up box, I will have to ask Aweber about this option later.

I have placed the Aweber Code into “Layout Code – Standard Fragment Image” Code Page, however, it repeats in the other fragments throughout the site.
Consequently I am not sure where to place the Aweber code in the various code pages offered by Actinic V9, so that it appears only for the required "Fragment".

Aweber Code: This is the same whether it is meant to display as 'Inline' or as a 'Pop-Up Box', presumably when being transferered to the Aweber Site for the purposes of capturing the 'Name and email address'' information, the profile on the Aweber site, sorts this out? Will check this with Aweber.
