Tidying layout using pop ups and thumbnails

Hi all, this is my first post and i hope you can help. I am using V8 and i have been playing with setting my products in 2 columns to save space. problem is that if i have product in left column with 1 size/colour option and the adjacent product hase 4 size options the grid looks all skewed and rubbish.

To solve this i would like to just have the title and small image in my product pages and then you click on the image and in the pop up that arrises you would have size/colour options (with add to cart buttons), big image and maybe description.

Is this possible or just pie in the sky?

Hi Neil

You could create a fragment which will have the text and image, and you could use the link feature, to link to the product. You could do it that way?

SPP might be an option, but it would involve creating a new layout and several man hoours if you're mot familar with the concept.
