Perl Script Mod disappeared after upgrade

    Hi all,

A while back when we were using V7 we had to implement some tracking code for use with tradedoubler, so we had to modify the OrderScript.pl file which lucky for us Bruce had supplied the community with on the following thread.

    http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=21216

Our problem now is that after the upgrading to V9, the additions we made to the script has obviously stopped working and we need to re-implement it. We have tried looking through the old script and applying it to the V9 file but our efforts have been in vain.

Has anyone managed to get this working or is there a ‘perl wizard’ out there who could point us in the right direction please?

    Thanks in Advance

      Thanks Nadeem,

We were beginning to lose hope there for a mo...

We'll try the script first thing in the morning, ive not looked at your script yet but do we need to create a new variable to carry across the affiliate data?

      Many thanks again

        Hi Lee,

How it worked in v7, should be similar if not the same as in v9 on the script side. However in Actinic, if you created a custom variable in v7, you would need to do the same in v9 as well.

          Nadeem,

thanks for your response. I thought it was a custom variable that we had to add in V7 but upon further reading it was NETQUOTEVAR:AFFILIATEDATA.

It looks like the variable doesnt exist any longer in V9.

          Any ideas?

actually, scrap that last post. Ive tried it with the original NETQUOTEVAR:AFFILIATEDATA and its passed it through ok.

            cheers
