Export mailing list

Hi

Is there any easy way to export the email addresses of all my customers but to also see the product they ordered within the csv file? I seem to be able to get address details etc but not the product details as I would like to create a newsletter but only it to people who ordered a particular product.

The standard mailing list function in Actinic does not include details of the products purchased.

If you want to produce lists based on what people have purchased, you can use the product tree dialog to limit results to purchasers of particular products or sections of products.

If you really do want a list of all products purchased along with email details, you can use our One Stop Order Processing plugin to do this, the export will contain an entry for every product purchased though and so will almost certainly contain duplicate email addresses, so you would need to import this into an email marketing tool to dedup the addresses before sending out any emails. Thanks for that. In the v8 user guide it says that filtering mailing lists by product is only available in Business/Designer editions so as I have Catalog I guess that explains it. I will certainly trial out your plug in.

sorry, i looked at my copy of actinic before replying - but i have designer which shows a tab to filter by product

no worries, I'm trying to find out where to find the "product tree dialog" as the mole end plug in seems a bit overkill for what I need. If it's straightforward any help would be appreciated.

okay I think I've figured out a way. You do a "find ordered products" search then enter the reference number for the product. Highlight all the results then click "print packing lists">"export to files", the resulting csv file will contain all email addresses of customers who ordered the product I searched for.

Where there's a will there's a way!
