Hide duplicates when out of stock

I've altered the layouts of my SPP's so that the add to cart etc. dissapears when stock is at zero or less. I have also changed the section page where the duplicates live so that the duplicate is hidden if stock is zero. I'm doing this with a blockif around the whole product layout.

The problem is that I still get a horizontal line where the duplicate would have been. So, if there are 10 duplicate products in a row and all are out of stock, I get 10 horizontal dividers all stacked up.

Any ideas?

Try using the Standard Product List layout instead of Product List With Horizontal Dividers and, if you still want a horizontal line, add that bit of code to the bottom of your Product Layout(s).
