Changing network settings for test mode

I am trying to change the network settings for my test mode, but when I go to Web | Network Settings, all the boxes are greyed out and it won't let me change anything. It will let me change the network settings for production mode, just not in test mode. How can I change the network settings for test mode?

you cant change them in test mode, it uses your live settings and puts the site in and area called test under your acatalog directory

So what would be the best way to upload to a different test location?

Would I just change the network settings in production mode to my test site settings. Before this I could export/save the network settings, then afterwards I could import the old network settings back in, when finished with test site.

Or as I have Actinic Multi-site, I could set up a new site called test, and import a snapshot.

Which would be the best way?

License a new site, make your life easy IMO.

Definately, but you obviously need another domain, or at the very least make sure you have a test area under you live domain and change the network settings to match.
