Customer Discounts and groups

Right below are a string of screenshots showing my current cutsomer discounts pages...













My main issue is that i set discounts to be only applied to customers who are logged in and select a product that is within a certain group. in this case, the product group is cues. the problem is that this discount is applied to the products without the customer logging in, thus allowing for regular customers to gain this special discount.

Anyone got an idea as to where i am going wrong?

Anyone who isn't logged in is considered to be in the 'Retail' customer group.

You need to create a group called 'Logged In Customers', join all customers to that and then restrict your cue discount to that group.

That worked a treat, however now I am getting the message on the product telling the customer they can have a discount appear whethter they are logged in or not. is there a way to hide this unless you are lgged in?
