I think this was covered in a V7 thread and I've looked at my layouts, but can't solve this, whilst I'm still digging, I thought I'd request the assistance of my community friends

My client was contacted this morning when he received the following message when trying to add and item to his cart

The following product(s) can not be added to the cart.
You can find the error description(s) by following the link(s).

The strange thing is that it is not effecting all products, which suggests to me that it's not a layout issue?

Any thoughts?

Looks like the good ole duplicate product problem. You may need to redo the duplicates or try the reset button on them. Are all failing products duplicates, i'll say yes they are for you.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there Lee. I've just tried the orginal Product under IP6600D and adds no problem.

I've tried to reset Duplicates on that item... I'll keep you posted...

Duplicates are regularly a pain in the ass, especially on older versions, heavens knows why, even actinic don't know. Try it one failing product before you do them all, might not be that.

I'm afraid it hasn't solved the problem.

If it's not a Dulplicate problem it's a problem cunningly disguising itself as a duplicate problem.

I've duplicated the whole section now to see if there are any improvements. Failing that I'll re-do the original product and see if that works.

That's the first thing I checked. When I originally used the AUG code for SPP I noticed that it referenced the Product Referenced instead of the Product ID.

The plot actually gets thicker... I created a duplicate under the same section as the original and it worked, move that duplicate and we see the same problem... Hmmmm...

So, is it a problem with the Section, in which case I may have mist something before...

Okay... I copied the whole section, including subsections and Original Products.

After amending the Page anmes and titles I then deleted the original products in the copied sections and replaced them with duplicates and...

...


(Drum Roll Please)...

No bloody difference...

I've deleting, redoing, ID changes and Purge and Refresh and still no cigar.
