    Clean Re-Upload

    Hey guys,

Just wondering if you had any advice on getting a clean install on an Actinic website. Basically I have a load of pages that were removed a long time ago from the site but the pages are still on-line and being listed on Google. I didn't want to have to go through and delete old content manually and tried the web purge and refresh options in Actinic but this doesn't touch old content. Is it safe to just FTP in, select all, delete and then re-upload from the software or am I missing a far better way of doing it?

    Cheers

    Leonard

yep the best way is via ftp

if you don't know which pages to delete, my favoured method is to delete ALL html pages and then do a site upload. This will have the result of removing all pages and then uploading just the live ones

You may also have old images stored as well, could be worth deleting the contents acatalog folder, although this will delete session files and saved baskets.
