has anybody experienced this problem ... ?

I was just wondering if anybody else has experienced the 'Click here to see errors' button suddenly go Red for no apparent reson, and then go back to normal, again, for no apparent reson & with no changes .

Story: I was working on my site when I suddenly noticed 'Click here to see errors' was Red. So I made a Snapshot, then went back a few Snapshots to see if I find what the problem was. I couldn't, then when I re-imported the original Snapshot (the one that was giving me a Red 'Click here to see errors' button, it was no longer Red, and I can't make it go Red again (luckily).

I think it was warning about a Javascript error on every page. This is strange, and has cost me a few hours work. Is it some kind of bug within the Actinic Catalog desktop application itself?

Yep, similar things have happened to me- I think V9.03 has addressed some of the problems with this aspect of V9

          Hi
I think it happened to me as well. I lost about 4 hours of of my work. I went back to my last snapshot. Because I thought I did something wrong

I forgot to mention I'm using 9.0.2.0.0.0. IFZA, which I think is the latest version. Like Elliott, I lost a lot of valuable time trying to diagnose a non-existent problem. Having that big red 'errors' button is very disconcerting, espiecally when when you click on it it doesn't really tell you what it thinks the problem is! I hope this thread will save somebody else from wasting their time this way. Do Actinic people have anything to say?

this is a known problem - there are other recent posts about it. As you say it's a transient problem which most of us learn to ignore.

shoot! I always try to do a thorough search on the forum before posting anything in case it has been covered - guess I must try to hone my search skills.

You get a feel eventually when the error is "real" or a false-positive. If it happens switch to another section and then back again to the same .. if false-positive it will go... if a problem it will stay.
