Hi Alistair, I hope to have some news very (very) soon on v9.0.3.

we currently hope to release v9.0.3 by or earlier than 7 November. The usual caveats apply.

This seems to fit broadly with the above.

I plucked up courage to download the beta and have enjoyed testing it, if enjoyed is the right word. Haven't found any problems other than the usual boring script mods which as I'd kept copies thereof, were easily and painlessly transferred.

I like the quicker upload but have to close my eyes when the swirly whirly spirals start doing their stuff as this kind of movement can trigger a migraine. (No joke - if there's a flickering neon light in a shop, I have to leave).

Still, the upload is so much quicker, having a few secs shut eye at my desk isn't a hardship.

Well the next step will be beta 2, which will be released imminently (unless something rears its ugly head). At the same time we will be regression testing the release, if it passes beta 2 will be 'the' release.

Nah CD is not in control these days, Tracey G is still in training with regards to these aspects of the job, so i recon 3.55 on friday

Well if it was me I would release on Monday morning, otherwise you have a weekend for problems to build up.

I was goinng to agree that doing a Friday release makes no sense as anyone who tries to upgrade over the weekend and gets it wrong is going to have no support.

But then I suppose it's reasonable to say that users should use their own initiative about when they apply the upgrade. If they're not so confident, then maybe they shouldn't upgrade when there's no support available.

Given the time spent so far on Patches, Alpha, Beta and Beta 2, will this be v9.0.3 or v10.0.1?
