Catalog Input Box

Hi,

Is there any way to restrict the number of characters that can be entered in the NAME section in the GENERAL settings in the CATALOG and SECTION DETAILS.

Reason for this is that I intend to list the products details link using a box (either through css or tables) for each product. If the NAME is too long then this will then take up two lines and make some of the boxes double size which will look 'naff'. I hope this makes sense. I won't be running the site on a day to day basis - my wife's friend will be - so it will be hard to get her to remember all the time.

I have searched for default input box - products -size - restrict size etc.
I changed the ProductListWidth in the Variable list but that makes no difference.

You could possibly limit this in the DB itself.

If you open it in access and edit the field size. I have not tried this and would suggest you back everything up 1st before you go messsing in the DB.
