    Google Analyitics Ecommerce Stats

    Hi

I have implemented Analytics which is working really well. I have also created goals, which also is working well. However, i followed the instructions in the Actinic help guide and setup my site as an ecommerce site (which it is) in order to track transactions and conversions etc, but im not getting any data at all for those stats.

Can anyone give me an idea of things i should be checking? The only thing slightly different about the site is that it uses shared SSL?

    Thanks in advance

    James

Google Analytics Ecommerce Tracking doesn't really work with an SSL checkout where you go off to a different domain I'm afraid. It works if you stay on the same server, but the information is lost if you go to a different server.

On their help/integration pages, GA do provide a method to transfer all the analytics information to the new server, but it gets passed via the call to the checkout perl scripts and completely blows up the perl scripts as there is too much info.

    Sorry about that.

      Thanks Chris

Well at least that explains it. So i guess by buying a individual SSL cert you would get round this?

I have done some research on this, but not sure who would be the best vendor / service to go with, any thoughts?

I have a prospective client who wants this integration but currently just has a shared SSL, but is actually going through Actinic's PSP. It is possible to get the ecommerce tracking working, or would they need to get a dedicated SSL and handle payments themselves?

reading the above implies that using a dedicated ssl cert is fine, you should not be considering downloading cc detail due to pci regs

            Okay thanks Jo.

I was just really wondering if Actinic had managed to get around this somehow with their own PSP. Obviously not.
