Is there anyway of copying related products list between products?

I have a number of products which all have the same 10 related products and it is a very long winded and time consuming to have to enter them all each time!!

Anyone know if there is a way to do this?

Copy the product with the related products and then change the product name and text and image, still a bit long winded but still much quicker than the current method of adding related products which is dire.

You can do this in Access quite easily. The Related Product Table is very simple. Take a backup and give it try.

Backup first.
Export the RelatedProducts table from Access to Excel. Add all your entries in Excel (in the same format) then Import from Excel back into Access overwriting the existing table.

I don't know a lot about actinic. I am trying to add Related products but it takes a very long time to do. As you said I can export the table.

But not sure where to get the table from. Can you tell me please.

Elliott you need to open up the Actinic database using Microsoft Access, given what you just asked though, i'd urge you to tread very carefully and make sure you have taken a snapshot and backup before you do. People have been known to enter the database and surface 6 months later doing another job. Entering the database is a bit like taking the back of your TV off to have a poke around and a bit of a mooch.

Thank you for getting this far. I now have the table open. But know I don't where to start.

I have had a look but got no idea how it works.

You have four columns

"nID" (not sure what this is)

"eProductRef" (the product

"sRelatedProductRef" (The Related Product)

"nOrder" ( not sure)

All I want to do is add related products more quickly from using Actinic as I got about 2000 products to do

I any one could help me. I would be very grateful
