    emails being bounced by Spamhaus

This probably isn;t the right place for this question, but since switching to Pinbrook hosting (to resolve another issue I was seeing in Actinic - see seperate posts), I have had no end of regular Outlook emails being returned as "Undeliverable" with references in the the return email to spamhaus.org

Has anybody else had similar problems? I am running a business where I need to be 100% that emails are being delivered to my new and existing customers and suppliers.

It;s that bad now, I'm even having to .bcc my personal email address into everything that I send to reassure me that outgoing mail is at least leaving the Pinbrook servers.

This isn't a V9 issue and your best bet is to contact pinbrook.

Like all hosts there can be a problem with bad customers and I'm sure pinbrook will fix any problems if there are any.

It's also worth checking that your emails don't have any spam trigger words in them. I think Lyris offer a free spam filter check service. You should be able to find it on google.

It's likely that the IP address of the mail server has been black listed (not the faul of the ISP usually).

Tools, such as: http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx can help you see where the IP address has been black listed from.

Most (perhaps even all), black-lists allow you to request removal of an IP address from their black-list. Sometimes it takes a while though.

        The mailserver is not blocked.

During our tests we can send from max's email address.

when Max sends sometimes the first time he sends his mail gets blocked, but if he sends again it goes through.

We have asked max to send us the bounced email from spamhaus so we can see the reason why spamhaus blocks.

        Its a mystery...

No other PB client has reported this, if there are any other of our clients having this happen please let us know via our support desk, and let us have the rejection bounce from spamhaus.

We tracked this down to Max having SMTP auth turned on in Outlook, we use POP before SMTP as authorization, hence email was being sent out mal formed
