Discount on total price for choosing specific Item

    Hi everyone,

could someone share their wisdom with me please? i'm starting a computer sales website using Actinic Business V9.

The issue is i want to be able to offer customers a discount for choosing an option. for example a computer with a Windows operating system selected as default (from a drop down menu), and i want to have the option for my customers to select "no operating system" and it to give them a discount on the total price, for example

example of the drop down menu options:

    No O/S Required (-£50)
    Windows Vista 32-bit (+£0.00)(Default)
    Windows Vista 64-bit (+£5)

I really cant find the option to do this anywhere

    Any help would great

    Thanks

Sorry guys, I didn't know about the Knowledge base, I found it now, I did search the forums, but not the knowledge base, here's how to do it in case some searches and finds this thread.

If you want to have different pricing on your components, then you simply need to do the following:
    1) Create a product.
    2) Attach a component to the product.
    3) Attach an attribute to the component.
    4) Attach a choice to the attribute.
    5) Open product and choose 'sum of components prices' from the pricing model.
    6) Open Component and fill permutation box, change the price on the choice.

If you simply need to add an additional cost to the product price, then you simply need to:
    1) Create a product.
    2) Attach a component to the product.
    3) Attach an attribute to the component.
    4) Attach a choice to the attribute.
    5) Open product and choose 'sum of product and components prices' from the pricing model.
    6) Open Component and fill permutation box, change the price on the choice.
