Just wondered if there is any way of linking the Actinic stock control so
it works in real time online?

no it is not possible

Although depending on how 'Real time' you need it you could use one of Mole Ends add-ons to regularly download orders and update the stock position on a regular basis.

It uploads and downloads (clearing any messages that pop up), and can also perform some batch order processing between the upload/download.
