    Location of GlbMetaDescription

    Hi,
Can anyone let me know the location of the variable GlbMetaDescription as I am unable to find it, thanks.
    Regards,
    Robin

Don't quote me on this (please?) but I would've thought it was to do with the Meta Description field in the section or subsection details?
Need a barcode label or card printer? Look no further than OnlyZebra.

Thinking about barcode scanning and whether it could improve your business' efficiency? We can offer a range of products from numerous manufacturers. OnlyAML, OnlyIntermec, OnlyLXE, OnlyOpticon & OnlyPsion or OnlyRugged, the one stop shop for all your needs.

It can be found in the Actinic database and also in the head area of your overall site layout usually.

        Hi,
thanks for that. But it is the actual GlbMetaDesctription which is in the actual Web Page Outer Layout which I need to know the location to. See attached image.

They can be found on the shop top icon, the green wad of dollars. The GLB stands for global, in other words what is used if you do not fill any others out.

Sorry, I had found it in the Web Page Outer Layout.

What I meant is where it is in the Design Library so I can alter what is presented, if that is possible. I assumed that it would be possible to open the layout of it and change it. Thanks.

            Regards,
            Robin

Your outer layout is in the design library, so it is in there. Look for the inner and outer groups towards the bottom. Easier to get to it on the design tab though.

The content of the variable is set in your Actinic design on the home page (the house icon).

When I look at the code within the Web Page Outer Layout there is the code as follows <actinic:variable name="GlbMetaKeywords" /> What I would like to know, if possible, can I change the code within this variable or is it just a fixed variable which picks up the Meta Description from the Home Page (reached by clicking on the House Icon)
                  Thanks.

I think you will find that the contents of the variable are in fact those from the shop top, not the site home. Or to quote Actinic themselves:

                    Code:
<!-- Meta tags entered into the green 'Online Catalog' icon -->

                      Hi Lee,
Thanks for that. I am sorry but I was thinking this variable was a layout which I could change whereas a variable is already predefined so you can enter some text into it. As my daughter would say to me I am a 'Stupid Boy'
                      Regards,
                      Robin

Something I find a bit bizarre (unless I've misunderstood this which is highly likely!)

The Meta Description and Meta Keywords that are entered into the "top of the shop" are not used in catalog pages but are used in brochure pages....

Ooops! An elementary mistake that detracted from the real point, that variables do not hold code.
