Add to Cart: when all details on Extended info pop up

I have a site with all the products listed with just a photo. All the rest of the details appear on the pop up extended info page...

So on the extended info page I have the ADD TO CART button. All displays perfect, until you click the add to cart button, when the pop up then displays the add to cart status ....

Ideally when clicking the add to cart in the pop up I want the window to close, then the parent page to refresh showing the newly added product.

If you close the window by hand, the parent page needs to be refreshed to be able to see the updated cart - not ideal.

Any ideas?

Don't use extended info pages, they are not good. If you insist on doing so, then have the page open in the same window so seamless to the user, popup pages are really bad for SEO and were ill advised a few years ago, let alone now. I think this maybe be a good time for you to take a look at adopting an SPP approach. Always provide a URL when you have a problem, so we can see it too. Welcome to the forum.
