Hierarchical import of related products

Is it possible to use the hierarchical import to import a products "Related Products" there is a field called "Original Product Reference" but I suspect this is to do with duplicates - so am I right in saying that Related Products cannot be imported??

Try Exporting a site that contains some. Then look at the export file in a text editor for the product that contains the related items. See what you find there.
