General Error after adding to cart

    Hi,

For soem reason after months of the site working fine we are getting this error when adding items to the cart:

    A General Script Error Occurred
Error: Error opening ../acatalog/213Z98Z64Z84A1225898259B17624.session (Permission denied)Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner

We have deleted all the files in the cgi-bin directory and all permissions are set to 777.

We have refreshed the site completely.

    Does anyone have any ideas.

It's working for me, albeit slowly. I think maybe GA is getting in the way of page loading.

PS You should not be taking credit card details on your website. You need a PSP. Times have changed

PPS You don't even have SSL

      CGI-BIN should be 755 not 777

clear cache on the pc where you still have the session file error, i suspect the problem is local to that pc only

          Still getting error?

          Hi,
Thank you for your help, but the site is not working. Do you have any ideas on how to remedy this.

If you click on the add to cart at this link you can see the error message:

          http://www.gofrostfire.com/acatalog/...c_Bedding.html

          thanks

There is no problem that I can see - I placed a test order with no problem at all. You need to change to using a psp as downloading card details is no longer allowed

I certainly see the error and it does sound like a permissions problem. Are you sure the permissions on the acatalog folder are 755 (or 777)?

If they are then it sounds like there might be a problem with the way your host has set up ownership rights. You'll need to check with them.

EDIT: Now it's working. That's the trouble with answering calls in the middle of posting.

I see no errors. Apart from the fact that you are taking people's credit card details on an unsecured checkout ...

Did you clear the cache as suggested above?
