    Search not linking correctly

    Hi

When I do a search it offers the correct set of results but when I then click on a result it does not take me to the proper page.
The url in the link seems OK when I study the link, albeit with other code included.
A valid? page is found but not populated with the product details. If the page does not exist then a error holding page would pop up.
Does the search page link land you on a different page to that if you access the product via the menu? If so how do I edit it - I do not see an appropriate page in the list.
See www.clatteringford.com and do a search to see the problem - try searching for scarf for example and then select any of the results.
    Any advice much appreciated
    Thanks
    David Cunningham

ooooh neat trick, to be honest i have not seen this one before, but do you know if it worked before you customised everything. do you have earlier snapshots to check against.

Your search url's dont look right to me. Have you allow searching by sections selected? Got actinic maintains search page ticked?

      Thanks for the response Darren

      No and Yes
I am going to tick the section one and upload now to see if it makes a difference.

It was wrong a while ago - before upgrade to ver 9 - we thought we had fixed bit but possible not - it has been like this for some time I think and we did not notice - so answer - I don't really know and we do not have a working snapshot unfortunatley as we are not sure when it actully went wrong.

I will report back when I upload after ticking allow searching by sections.

Changed settings to include searching by section as ticked and no difference. In investigating against another site you are right Darren.,the code is not complete - it is missing acatalog folder and file name "acatalog%2fsearch%2ehtml" from the url

I use NorTree on te site to generate the menu, could this be causing this? doubt it.

Where do you access this bit of code in Actinic?

2 links from different sites below - text in red in the second (working site) is missing from the 1st (problem site).
        Code:
        http://www.clatteringford.com/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl
        ?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2eclatteringford%2ecom%2f
        &WD=scarf
        &PN=woman_accessories_scarves_fibreblends_ruffle_scarf%2ehtml%23a2653#a2653
        Code:
        http://www.shonadonaldsonjewellery.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?
        REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2eshonadonaldsonjewellery%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2fsearch%2ehtml
        &WD=coral
        &PN=Coral_Collection%2dbyrange%2ehtml%23a1_2138#a1_2138
        Thanks

          Problem resolved

          unticked Highlight Located Test
and ticked to display Section Name
          in Search Settings | Results

I think the system probably just needed a kick and by altering these setting it got the change it needed to regenerate this page.

If you have this problem just try changing one of the settings on this page and up load - it it works change back and upload again and hopefully it will still work

          Regards and thanks for help
