Presentation of products as components in shopping cart

I have products that come in two sizes. I have set up the two sizes as separate products (3401 and 3402, for example) not visible on the web and then linked the products as components of another product (3401-2) that is visible.

All looks fine on the product page but it looks rather strange during the checkout:

3401-2 Vitamin B Complex 1
3401 Size - Size: 250 tablets 1 £14.95
Subtotal £14.95

Am I doing something wrong? is it possible to gte it so the 3401-2 doesn't show? Any help would be much appreciated.

In your product setup are you using "sum of component prices" (with the price set in the hidden product?)
If you are, tick the 'no orderline for main product' box too and the cart etc will then only show the hidden, associated products short description (Product Name) rather than the above.

yes, I am Tracey but I can't see where ther 'no ordreline for main product' box is.

Sorry, should have said...make sure you have "component as separate orderline" box checked in the Component General Tab too.
