ok so if we tick "Use Enhanced FTP", click "FTP Options"

then tick "enable data compression"

if your server supports it - all will just work, if your server doesn't support it there will be messages?

just asking as i testing....

Thats right Jo, The first time it uploads, Actinic will check if compression is supported, if not it will be turned off.

Really impressed with this so far, i've successfully upgraded 5 sites now testing it out, 3 of which are biggies and all are working fine. The multi-threading looks very good, something for everyone to look forward to. A web refresh will no longer afford you lunch and a cup of tea, it will be probably be over by the time you make the tea!

And the single page upload seems to work great, even more time saved

Same as Mal, just updating three sites, three have already been completed with no problems so all is looking good from here

Apologies for not testing myself, i did download beta but have not had the time to test, to many christmas things to sort out, staff sickness etc.

Just upgraded my site without any problems. Upload much faster - about 5 minutes instead of 30-40 minutes

Well, I managed to upgrade no problem.....everything seemed to have gone okay, no error messages.....etc. Did a full site refresh and low and behold half of it's missing Most of the product pages have vanished into thin air.....very confusing indeed!! I'm just in the process of uploading again.....I'll let you know how I get on

everyone needs to follow basic site security procedure when upgrading is take a snapshot from your current version prior to upgrade so you can go back if needed and upgrade on a second machine first if possible and test test test test prior to going live.

Remember most of the people who have posted here have been using .0.3 since June so we are pretty adept at upgrading. If you are a site owner with a site that is working ok then the advice I am giving my clients is to stay with what they have until after Christmas which is the busiest time of the year for most people.
