BUG: Error if UDV set after using the Product Option wizard.

Bug seen on all V9 (including the just released 9.0.3).

Steps to see error:

License a new site.

Go to Design / Library / Variables / Product.

Right-click and create a new Variable as per the screenshot.

Now go to the Great Expectations product.

Click the Product Option tab and choose Add a New Option...

Create option e.g. Colour, set two values e.g. Black & White.

Next, select Use Product Price.

Next / Next / Finish to close the wizard.

Now click the properties tab and set Wowza to something e.g. "Hello".

Click Apply and an error message appears:

"An error occurred while editing the product database table. Attempt to Update or Delete failed."

Click OK and things seem to be fine but the message is alarming.


WORKAROUND

Things seem OK if you set your UDV's before using the Add a New Option wizard.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Norman. I'm just checking with development that this doesn't have any adverse effects on the database.

Hi,

Development have confirmed that the UDP gets saved to the database correctly so it shouldn't cause any problems. The error has been reported as a bug.
