Move Actinic from one computer to another

    Hi,

I need to move my Actinic Software from my XP machine to my Vista machine, can anyone recommend the best way to do this to prevent losing anything?

I thought it would be as easy as exporting from the XP machine and importing on the Vista machine but it didn't seem to work at all! The design and layout were all messed up and it kept giving me errors.

Would I be better upgrading to V9 on the old computer first and then installing V9 on the new computer and doing importing?

If anyone can give me some pointers that would be good.

It is. Install the same version software on the new PC and then take a snapshot from the old PC and import it into the new PC - job done

Yeah I tried this, I think the problem is that I cannot find the exact same version to install on the new machine.

I can find version 8 but it's not the exact same subversion so maybe this is why it isn't working?

You can download the latest V8 version here:

I suggest you up grade both PCs and then export the Snapshot from old to new again.

OK great thanks, I didn't realise that version page existed!

I will give it another go tonight and hopefully it will work without any issues.
