Changing the 'web site description' for an offline payment method

Now I've upgraded to V9, I've added the Actinic Payments MOTO payment method for MOTO card transactions.
Because it's only available as a desktop payment method, however, I can't edit the 'website description' for it and it's this website description that appears on the invoice
It currently says 'Card Payments through Actinic' and I don't want it to because it's confusing for the customer (IMO)

I've opened up the Payment Methods table in the database and can see it in 2 columns.

One headed sDescription and one headed sPreprocessedMethodName

I've changed both of these and it worked but what is the second one used for? Anyone know?

    Tracey,

I can edit the description in the Business Settings | Payment and Security

Is that not doing what I expect it to do?

not the MOTO one, I can't
I want to change the Web site Description (because this is the one the invoices is using for 'payment method') for the Actinic Payments CNP/MOTO and mine is greyed out

Click Configure Payments, you can do it in there.

I don't see the reason behind it. I hadn't even looked before your OP TBH. Glad we sorted it.

well, tbh, I'd already 'fixed' it before I posted but I posted anyway in case anyone else wanted to change it (the default website description is silly for the MOTO payment method ) and, in the process, found out there is a simpler solution

                Hurrah!

if you read the OP properly, you'd have seen I'd already fixed it in the database!

                              whatever!

admin could probably tell you it hasn't been editted, if they could be bothered to read all your drivel in the first place
