Request for help to get long overdue website up and running

    Hi
I'm looking for help in finishing off my website since I just don't have the time to continue myself. I need to get it live fairly soonish, so this is a plea for quotes please to help me get my website live so that I can focus on running my business!
    So far:
I've been creating a new website on Actinic Catalog 9 with the intention of moving from Actinic Express. This started back in July and still haven't been able to make the move away from live website of Express.
1)I have created about 2500 products, about two thirds of which are hidden. Most of the products are fine and I can finish what few remain.
2)I need fragments at the tops of the pages which will go across the width of the page
3)VAT has been set as 17.5% (101=1750=0=). Haven't looked into changing this yet.
4)Still need to set up shipping by zone/class to identify the usual: Highlands, off-lying islands.
5)Need to set up payments (prob only Paypal, not sure yet)
6)Customer details and history to be captured from Express
6)Site needs to go live (hosting by Actinic to be set up) and Express closed down with least hassle. Email to be set up.
This is what I imagine needs to be done, but there may be other stuff I'm not aware of.
    In hopes,
    Barbara
PS Current express website is www.mosaictraderuk.co.uk.

Derr! Is it me or is their site not very intuitive - well certainly to a layperson!

There is a list of local designers on the actinic website too, you may find a local designer, someone you can visit or can visit you, is of benefit in this situation.

You would also be wise to read the threads on the forum about switching sites from express to catalog - its NOT a simple procedure as the two systems are completely different in terms of urls.

Please heed Rural webs warning - we moved from the Express site to a business catalog site. It has not been as smooth as I would have liked but with the help of the forum guys, we started to get it right

One of our biggest issues we had was that google etc all pointed to the old site - it was like starting all over again - still we are getting there.

                Heather,

It may still be worthwhile having a look at some of these results. Redirecting your old url's to the new url's will help both search engines and visitors to your site (those visiting your site through the old Express URL's)

Not possible with express as the server is shutdown once the site is closed - several previous posts on Express and redirects

surely you can resolve this in one of 2 ways

1 write down the names of the old URLs and create 301 redirects in new hosting space

2 simply use a 404 error page in new hosting space to catch all old urls and redirect to home page

I hate express, i've never seen or even used it, it's just a feeling i get when i hear the name. EPOS and Sage are in the same gang.
