Short New product listing on home page and all on another

The title says it all I suppose. Im revamping a site and Im looking to see if there is a way I can show a certain amount of new products on my home page, then provide a link to a page with the full list on.

Ideally it would be great if the 10 shown on the home page where rotated or shown randomly...

Any one wrote a nice bit of script to do this?

If so, this is a standard feature under the 'Marketing' menu (New Product Listings / Best Sellers).

Yes I know that, I mean is there a way of altering that feature to show a limited amount on the home page, and all of them on another.

Jonty has provided how to do this already, it's either in the AUG, the forum or the KB or maybe all of them. Try the AUG first.

Managed to do this by using the AUG - Used two different layouts, one for the home page with the block condition and another for the full listing.
