I have foolishly upgraded to 9.0.3 thinking it would make life easier and can't afford the time to fight the obvious bugs.

Uninstall 903, install 902 from http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/versions.htm and just import the snapshot you took before you upgraded. If you didn't take a snapshot before upgrading, then you are in a bit of trouble I expect and you are a rather silly person.
I think you can just run 902 back over the top of 903, but i wouldn't recommend it, best to go the long way round.
