    Data entry report

    Hi
I with crystal reports moved the card details to the bottom of the report so we could destroy that info but keep customer details and works fine and I recommend that in the next version of Actinic this is done.

The problem is that I like the report to show the item cost including vat which at the moment separates this out in the totals. This can confuse our orders department. Since I have Crystal reports what field or adjustment can I make to do this (inculde vat in the price) as I cannot see how.

What "card details" did you move to the bottom, is it the customer card number or method of payment.

      Reports

All of the card details and payment method, the card thing is not my problem it was a suggestion to Actinic.

My main request is the vat being included in the product listing in the report.

            Hi John,

It sounds like you have all your prices entered ex-VAT which is why actinic shows the ex-vat item price and then VAT separately. This is how Actinic has always done this.

With V9 you can enter product prices including VAT and this is the way I would do it. It's better for your customers too (if you're a consumer business) as they will no longer see the ex-vat price against the items in the shopping cart.

An alternative would be create a VAT inclusive price in the report by changing the report. Actinic doesn't have a variable for this so you would have to do some maths in crystal reports..

Try changing the @Price to be @ExclusviePrice multplied by @Tax1

Hi, John thanks for your reply.

Mike all my prices a VAT inclusive, and they show everywhere like this, except on the Data Entry!!!

                Have I maybe missed something?

                Thanks

Very odd. I just looked on your website and the prices do appear to be VAT inclusive. So I wonder where Actinic is geting an ex-vat price from? That shouldn't exist anywhere.

                  Mike

Edit: maybe there's some old variables being used in the report. If it's using @ExclusivePrice as Duncan says then that could be the wrong variable.

Did you modify a V9 report or is your modified report carried over from V8?

This is sounding familiar - Ive just created a newish site and Actinic is getting confused between inc and ex VAT prices - its showing inc vat on the product pages but ex vat on everything else.

                      Data report

As far as I can tell the data entry report as always printed the vat exclusive, in every vesion of actinic I have used.

Unless there is a other suggestion I will look at drounding solution to see if that works.

                      Thanks

I have had a look and it always gives me vat exclusive prices on all sites. Including my active sites and if I create a new test site, this also applies to invoices aswell (Just never notice because we don't print them).

If this isn't always the case then must need to update something.

                        Thanks

I've just looked at the V9 invoices and data entry report and for some reason Actinic is using two different variables. The Invoices report (at least on my 9.0.3) uses @InclusivePrice whereas the data report is using @ExclusviePrice (an interesting spelling).

I would imagine that changing the data entry report to the inclusive variable would correct it. Actinic should probably fix this as it looks like a bug to me.

I don't think it's a bug, with the invoice you can choose to have prices shown inclusive of tax or exclusive of tax, but with the data entry report only an exclusive version is available.

I would suggest copying the inclusive formulas over from the invoice and using those on the data entry report, or to rename invoices.rpt and add the extra fields you need from the data entry report into that (there are two order details sub-reports in the invoice though so you will need to make sure that the inclusive one is shown.

The v9 invoice has subreports for both inclusive and exclusive pricing.
The v9 data entry report however only has a subreport for exclusive pricing.

The formula field @InclusivePrice is not created in the data entry report.
