    Export data problem

    Hi everyone,

I have exported the catalog to Excel to import into an accounts program.

The problem is that product prices appear as 999 for 9.99 - minus the decimal point, and so on.

I have over 1500 products, and not being an Excel expert (or expert on anything else for that matter !) I wondered is there an easy way of formatting the entire column of prices to place the decimal point in the correct place ?

There is 100 pence in a pound, therefore divide the figure by 100.

    =sum(A1/100)

where A1 contains the price in pence.

      Hi Lee,

      Thanks for the reply.

Tried that, when you try and import it, you get an error ####VALUE, as you are trying to import the formula, rather than the figures themselves.

Highlight the column, click on 'copy', then choose 'paste special' and select 'values'. That will remove the formula and leave just the figure.
