How to remove VAT from basket

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me. We have recently upgraded from V7 to V9. In our old V7 we managed to tell Actinic to calculate the shipping based on the whole basket value by using some code provided in this forum years ago by TraceyG - it worked fantastically well. I have found the original post and thankfully it still works in V9.

However, in our old V7 we had managed to get the basket to display all prices including VAT, and I cannot find either that original post or any other to explain how we did that. Does anyone know how we might have done it??

Also, our cart now displays more information on each product than it did before. Rather than just displaying the name of the associated product:

Hooded Beach Robe Size 8 Pink 1

    it now says

    Hooded Towelling Beach Robes 1
Hooded Beach Robes - Colour: Pink, Size: Size 8 (7-8 yrs) 1

and all this information is being transferred to Sage which is throwing out our invoices. Can anyone tell me how to go back to the way it was before?

    Thank you!

The AUG will have details of how to remove the component info in the cart and the KB (top right) might be able to help with the cart change, well worth a look in there at least as it has some great info..

V9 can also operate in a mode where you use products that are priced inclusive of tax.

You then get a tax inclusive cart display.

Look in the Help for "How do I show prices including tax?" and "How do I convert my prices to be tax inclusive?".

Best tinker with this on a test system as you have to change all your prices.

This can be switched off by making sure the Component is set to "Component as Seperate Order Line" and the main product is set to "no order line for main product"
