    v9.0.3 issue

    This is getting silly.
Yes I know that the database has become corrupt.
    Compacting does not resolve it.
The problem is that this is happening with monotonous regularity.

    Jarvis,

I have asked Support to contact you directly, can I ask that you talk to them while we get to the bottom of your issues.

Ben - posting a solution here would be beneficial as my v9 sites suffer from this (but not to the degree that Roger's do!) It's been a constant problem throughout v9.

Well-well. I've been seeing this on user variables (particularly those used on Choices). Didn't know it was plaguing built-in selector variables as well.

I've also seen this - but I'm trying to remember whether it was only on v903 or also on v902 on occasion.

Thanks Ben, am dealing with this and other issues offline with support.
I also appreciate your getting involved.

It's interesting that this problem was not in its two 'sister' sites built at the same time and in the same circumstances.
I would have let it pass but for being told that there was an 'empty variable' every time I published the site.

Andrew, nice to see you're still around, drop me a line.

I've experienced this doubling up periodically for the past 2 years also, it seems to have no logic when it surfaces but as mentioned in other threads it's often quicker to revert to a previous snapshot and just redo the work, than wait for an answer as to why off support.

I don't for one minute suggest that designers should have preferential problem reporting, but something must be improved in this area. All users benefit from the bugs we find and report and we will undoubtedly find more than any other type of actinic user IMO. That should be used as a plus point for all.

I think they should and it was agreed at the July meeting that Actinic Towers would sort something out - BEN?

lol, well I dont know about preferential treatment, anyone that knows us well understands we can be bought with chocolate based products.

We are arranging a user conference in '09 as well as some other customer engagement activities, so we are busy in this area.
