General Script error with BT security and IE7

    Hi all,

I get a general script error ( the one you get when checkout shifts to secure servers)on computers running IE7 and BT internet security pack. If i turn off security it works fine

On the same machine i have no problems if i use Firefox or Google Chrome.

    Is this a known problem?
    Is there a fix?

      damn sorry,

      its the general script error:

The specified Shared SSL user ID is invalid or is not registered with this provider.

Now the KB has a solution to if it is not set up properly.

Mine is ok, and works in most cases.

However some browser security product combinations display the GSE above when you transfer to the Secure server.

I have been able to replicate the error using IE7 on Vista with BT internet security pack. Using any of the other browsers i have on the same machine it operates properly.

If i turn off BT security it works fine with IE7.

      Weird.

Just wondering if anyone has seen this before?

        Hi Richard,

Is this using Actinic Shared SSL? If so, can you email me your cgi-bin url and SSSL ID number so that I can make sure that everything is set up correctly at our end before taking it further.
