import removes assigned products for discounts

Hello,

Every time my client does an import of a .csv file from Access into Actinic it removes all the products assigned to the discounts, is there a way to stop this happening?

Hi Angi,

Do you mean that it's removing the products from the product groups or the groups from the discounts? How is the file created? Are you 'updating' or 'replacing' the catalog when you import?

it removes the products assigned to the discounts whenever a flat import.csv file is being imported and updating rather then replacing.

Hi Angi,

Sorry for the delay in responding to you but does your flat-file have a 'Product Group ID' field in it? If so, then if they are all set to 0 it will remove the products from their groups. These need to be set to the correct product groups which can be found in the 'DiscountProductGroups' table in the database, or export the catalog after the products have been re-assigned to their groups and it will show which product group (column AO) is assigned to which product.
