    associated products

    Hi
When following the previous threads regarding Associated Products, I got it to work fine except for one issue. I want to restrict the associated product to a maximum of one per order, regardless of how many of the primary products are ordered. But, when you set the maximum quantity to one on the associated product, Actinic also limits the primary product to the same maximum quantity. You only see this when attempting to order.
Is there a work around for this?
    Thanks

    Hi,

I'm afraid that the number of choices added to basket is always the same as the primary product. If you want it to be different then it will have to be a separate product rather than a component.

But, if it not an "Associated Product" can it be set up to be added to the cart automatically when a particular product is ordered?

Unfortunately not. I can only suggest having the two products only on one page (you could use duplicates to add it to the relevant page(s) if it is a main product on another page) and using a single add to cart button so that the customer can enter the quantity of the 2nd product they want.

The issue we are trying to resolve is an additional charge UPS imposes in the U.S. when shipping hazardous products.
This is imposed once per parcel.
It does not seem possible in Shipping setup because when using UPS shipping in the U.S version of Actinic, UPS takes over and overides all over shipping settings. Shipping Supplements and Handling supplements don't work.
          Thanks
