    Altering amount requested post sale

    Hi all.
A customer has changed their mind about the item they want meaning I need to reduce the amount I am asking their card for.

I can do this in the Progress and Payments tab with an adjustment but the view payments still has the original amount and I can't alter it in there.

Could someone help me do the adjustment please

And may I wish everyone a very good and prosperous Christmas!!!

are you using a psp? which one?

assuming your psp has taken full payment, you should be able to refund the difference on the psp's cp

Thanks for the reply but I haven't committed the payment yet I'm trying to find a way to alter the amount I ask for before committing it.

Open Order > 'Line Items' > 'Add Adjustment'

If using Actinic Payments do as Mike (Olderscot) says using the adjustment tab making sure to add a minus sign before any amount you want to reduce by (if you don't add the minus, it will add it, not take it away). When you then go to commit the payment the new amount due will replace the original amount and this new amount transferred to the invoice and order data.

You can give info as to what the adjustment relates, we use both boxes, just in case.
