    Actinic Link Command Line Switches

Sorry if this has been done before, but are there any command line parameters that would allow me to start sagetoact and acttosage and process files for a particular profile?

You can see the command line switches in the Actinic program help. Search for 'command line'. I'm not sure if you can do what you want mind.

Thanks, Duncan, much (if belatedly) appreciated, but it's command line switches (if any) for the Sage to Actinic (and vice versa) link programmes that I really want. Ideally, after running export to files, say, being able to run acttosage in processing mode with the correct site selected...

Yes, thanks for your help - amazing what one can overlook<ahem>...

This particular aspect relates to this 'ere laptop that does some stuff in a good old batch file before running the link, and I was really looking for the last line of the file which would be something like

          c:\~\sagetoact.exe /s site1

which would invoke the link and process the specified profile.

Whilst I relax with small G&T

Maybe I should re-read the GSG again...

This is one way to do it :-

The article is about using sage with our automation tool but you don't have to use it, you can use the same method with batch files.

One of the links (ie: either sage or quickbooks) does have a batch interface but I can't remember which one it is now and the help for sage link doesn't mention it.

Thanks, Jan; that certainly works a treat when there is one profile, but how can I force the use of a certain profile when more than one exists?

You have to pre-create an ini file for each profile and then copy the appropriate one into place before running the link.

Ah, thank you. Actually, that rings a vague bell. Thanks, Jan.
