Order/Shipped Emails - Changing Customer Name Format

Hi There

My Emails are currently saying "Dear John Smith" when what I would like it to do is say "Dear John".

I have tried replacing the "ContactInvoiceName" variable but cannot find one that actually works and just shows the first name? Maybe I am missing something obvious, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Have you split the name fields into a first name and surname in your checkout or do you have just the one name field.

This is set in the "Shopper Name Handling" area of the "Ordering" tab in "Business Settings"

Yes, got it set as first name, last name. So I am assuming there is a variable or some way I can just show the first name!

Hi Scott,

For the Order Shipped, Order Received and Payment Received emails you can use <actinic:variable name="ContactInvoiceFirstName" /> for it to only display the first name.
