    Digital Download Failure

    V9.3

Here's a link to a file that is sposed to download but just sits there doing nothing until it gives up. Eventually I get an internal server error.

The file is there in the DD folder.. The scripts all pass the test but
    http://www.singletrackworld.com/shop...e8b7e7e7e9e9e4

Does not result in a download. That link will stay valid for a week.

We recently changed hosts. We are now with Donhost

    Folder structure is

    /shop/cgi-bin
    /shop/acatalog
    /shop/acatalog/DD

Ordering anything apart from our download files works just fine.

Tried using cgi-bin in the root folder too.

Tried knocking the nph- off the script on the server and in the site1 folder before a refresh (as suggested elsewhere for V8). removing the nph- from the script locally just seems to get reset back when I refresh.

    Any help appreciated..

Have you checked that your host allows digital downloads as many will not and block any

You are probably changing the wrong file. Make sure you make the change to 'nph-download.pl' in your site folder and delete the 'nph-dl000001.pl' file from the site folder and server before refreshing.

I can't find the nph-download.pl script anywhere in my site directory

            Fixed it now.

The download.pl script seems to do nothing. It's not uploaded to our server..
however, I removed the nph- from the nph-dl00000.pl script in the ORIGINALS folder and NOT in the Site1 folder. Then did a purge and refresh and the result was a cgi-bin full of scripts with none of them leading with nph-

            Now it works!
            :-)

nph-dl00000.pl script in the ORIGINALS folder
nph-dl00000x.pl (where 'x' is the cgi script ID number) shouldn't exist in the 'Original' folder. nph-download.pl should. The 'nph-dl00000x.pl file is generated from the nph-download.pl during the upload and it is that which is uploaded to the server.
