actinic & paypal websitesite payments pro

Hi

When I add Paypal Website Payments Pro for credit card payments on Actinic and click apply I get the following message:-

At least one of your Payment Service Providers require credit card capture payment method enabled. Please remove the provider (Paypal Website Payments Pro) using the Credit Card capture method first.

a) What does this mean?

b) The only thing that I can find to work is if I add "Credit card details captured for later processing.

Is this correct?

Hi,

This is correct as the 'Direct Payments' part of PayPal Pro requires the Actinic credit card capture page as the customer stays on your website for this and is not transferred across to PayPals secure server (the payment authorisation is done behind the scenes). Note that you must use SSL on your checkout for this and also that this method is not PCI-DSS compliant. To be compliant your web server must be fully PCI-DSS compliant too so you should check with your host.
