    New Layout Selector Issue

    Hello,

I've just started trying to tidy up some of my site layouts as I'll be chopping and changing a lot of javascript over the coming weeks and wanted to be able to change any includes without having to scour all the pages for references.

It would make sense to put a layout (selector?) in there, so I made a new one and labelled it all but the OK button wouldn't light until I chose Standard Javascript Header Functions in the values list. Now, when I drop in my new layout piece into the code it gives me exactly the same code as 'JavascriptFunctions', and when I edit one it edits the other, as they are the same! Now, I can't seem to delete my duplicate but far more importantly is...

... how can I make my own blank layout section to put in my main layout?

    Hope thats descriptive enough!

    Regards,

    Leonard

In the Design / Library / Layouts, right-click anywhere and choose New Layout Type. Give it a name. OK out.

Right-click this new layout type and choose New Layout. Enter some dummy code e.g. "Hello" (or real code if you have it). OK out.

Right-click this new layout type and choose New Selector. Set it up as you want.

Click its Values tab and choose the Layout you made earlier.

    Now it's saveable.

    Add additional layouts as required.
