Metapack

Has anybody started using metapack yet, I believe it is used via the one stop order processing, I was hoping for some feedback on how easy it is to use with Actinic, especially with multi sites.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

We know of a few people using it, the interface is simple to use, you just need to load the view, and then export your orders. The only issue I am aware of is product weight, ATM you can only use an estimated weight or enter order weights manually. Unless you have 1 order line per order and have a minimum weight of 1kg and then you can use the product weight.

Good news, weight isn't so much of a problem afterall, just heard this from Metapack :

"From a technical point we need a weight value greater than zero. However we are very happy with a fixed weight solution. This still allows Delivery Manager to allocate services based on consumer location, order value, number of parcels and shipping services A number of our clients don’t use weight in the allocation process at all."

We are adding an option to get the correct weight exported to our product but until then, the fixed weight should be fine.
