    new version site refresh

    Hi

I am currently using V9 V901DWA and want to upgrade to V9903IMMA

I need to go through the suspension of ordering and site refresh

There is an option on the upload to refresh the site excluding the

images, can I tick this box and refresh to the new version or do I have

to refresh all the images as well.

I am trying to minimise our downtime as our site is quite large and would

take approx 30 hours to refresh

I did ring Actinic about this but the lady on the support line was not sure?

    www.sandersonfabrics.co.uk

    any help appreciated thank you

    Graham

Images are images, and not version specific, therefore if they have not changed they do no need to be uploaded again. Make sure you check once finished though, as some images do seem to have gone missing with V903 on occasions.

PS - I never bother suspending orders even on my most successful and largest site. I think it is actually counter productive and not a good idea. If you are that concerned, then get a flask of cocoa and do it overnight during a quiet period IMO.

I think when you upgrade it will refresh the whole site anyway, But not positive and will bow to others who know best

Just upgrade and press update - actinic will do what it needs to do.

You only need to suspend ordering if moving major versions eg 7 to 8

            Ok Thanks for that

the main thing is not having to suspend ordering

I will get on and do it

            Regards

now you are on 903, you should check if your host has data compression modules instaled. this is increase the speed of uploads.
