    Testing a site

Our site is nearly finished and what i was wondering, is there a way to run an automated test on the site or any tools that could be used to automatically check links etc etc?

Put the site into test mode and then upload it then you can check it, Davids suggestion is working on the fact you have already done this or uploaded to the live area
