    New Order Tab problems in 9.0.3?? updated to a bug

    Are there still known problems with the New Order tab in 9.0.3?

    We're having big problems with products that have a dropdown colour choice in that it's not adding to cart the product that has been selected!
    If we have a colour choice dropdown for a product it is often (perhaps always? I don't work on this site all the time, it's usually Nik and he doesn't put high volumes through the New Order tab) selecting the option ABOVE the one we selected.

    Has anyone else come across this??

    ah, curious update to this, after much button pressing and now I think there's a bug.

    We have a deleted (red cross) choice in this list.
    Everything above the deleted choice works fine added to cart in the New Order tab.
    However, everything below it is selecting the option above, INCLUDING the item immediately belowing it which is showing the DELETED option in the New Order tab cart

    Undeleting and cutting the option instead fixes the problem.

    Worthy of note that this does NOT happen if I do a new order the 'old way' through Operations > New Order

    Attached are the photos showing the dropdowns. Where the SILVER was selected in the New Order tab, it was adding the (deleted) BLUE to the cart

    A bug methinks, yes??

      I'm afraid so. I've reported this to the development team.

      It also seems to work correctly if you move the deleted choice to the bottom of the list.

        OK, I'll continue to talk to myself

        This isn't ALWAYS the problem.

        I have a second product which is coming out wrong in the 'end' order.

        2 Dropdowns for choice (2-choices.gif)
        Add to the New Order TAB ok (NewOrderCart.gif)

        HOWEVER, the resulting order is INCORRECT (ResultingOrder.gif)

        I've recreated this product's component/attributes/choices/permutations from scratch and it still gives the same result.
        VERY frustrating as you don't know until AFTER the order is confirmed and you go back into it.

        (Databases are compacted regularly, at least 3 or 4 times a day (on shutdown of Actinic))


        [edit] Just tried a new product from scratch. NO copy/paste at all. Same result

        Moral of the story is stay out of the New Order tab!!
        This problem is also NOT occurring when generating a new order via Operations > New Order

            I can recreate your 2nd problem too . Again this doesn't happen using the old offline order wizard. It is very bizarre. Also reported to development.

                I've just come across this too.... a little annoying. called support and they say it hasn't been fixed in 9.0.4 but is likely it will be fixed in 9.0.5 as there has been enough reports of it to be escalated... fingers crossed then!
