actiniccatalog isn't in healthy status

We use actinic from v5 (possibly, I'm not sure), and upgrade, upgrade, upgrade, upgrade to v8.

From some point I wasn't aware, some section details / product details lost some tabs in Content / Design view. Some sections are missing Extended Information tab. Also, some layout tabs are missing Section layout block. If I create sub sections from the section missing some tabs, the sub sections will be missing those tabs as well.

Another funny thing is - most sections' tabs are in sequence of General, Page Settings, Details, Properties, Extended Information, Layout, but some sections' tabs are disordered as General, Page Settings, Details, Extended Information, Layout, Properties. It happens to products as well.

Is there a tool I can use to go through the section tree and diagnose the database? Many thanks!

Yes, there's a tool to get someone to do it for you: Actinic Support. If you follow their guidelines and things still go wrong, it's more than likely an issue with the software, not your data. I think everybody's experienced hell upgrading from version to version.

This was a bad idea IMO as the jump from 7 to 8 was a big one and the advice has always been to import product data and redesign - Im sure by upgrading so many times that your site will be in a mess as you say.

It may be a better idea to export your product data into a completely new site.
