Actinic Hangs when Closing

    Actinic Hangs when Closing

    When you close Actinic it just sits there and the becomes unusable. I can open close start menu etc. and run other programs.

    Actinic just sits there I can not close, minimise etc - to get rid of it I have to go to teh Task manager and End Task

    Windows Vista Home Edition
    Actinic Catalog ver 8
    Dell Laptop Inspiron 6400

    Any body throw any light on this

    Have you tried uninstalling and a full clean install?

    Has it always hung or is this a recent "feature"?

      No I have not- it is the next action but I just wanted to know if there was a know fault before doing so - the lack of ref to this when searching te forum indicated this is not a regular problem so re-install - here goes.

      It is a new happening - was fine until a couple of weeks ago

        What settings do you have for backup action on exit? (Housekeeping / Backup / Shutdown backup options).

          Managed to get some time over the weekend and reinstalled - this made no difference so I removed the old software via control panel and re-installed it again - this seems to resolved the problem - at least so far.....

          re backup settings - they are set per system default "Always"

            Hi David,

            Try switching that off to see if it makes any difference, do you have quite a large site?

            Just noticed that you have resolved the issue, sorry, but if it comes back again, it's worth trying that to see if that is causing the hanging to occur.
